What happens to your email address
Draft — needs review before launch. The text below describes what the newsletter form on this site actually does. It is written to be accurate, not to be legal advice, and it should be checked against the obligations that apply to you (UK GDPR / EU GDPR / CAN-SPAM, depending on where your readers are) before you publish it.
What is collected
Only the email address you type into the newsletter form, plus the date and time you submitted it. Nothing else. There is no tracking, no advertising pixel and no analytics on this site.
Where it is stored
Your address is sent from this website straight to Mailchimp (Intuit Mailchimp), which hosts Lucy Connelly's mailing list and sends the newsletter. It is stored there as a contact in her audience. Mailchimp acts as the processor; Lucy Connelly is the controller. Mailchimp's own privacy notice is at intuit.com/privacy/statement.
What it is used for
To email you about new books, cover reveals, tour dates and events. Nothing else. Your address is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone other than the mailing provider described above.
Unsubscribing
Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link, and one click is enough. You can also ask to be removed, or ask for a copy of what is held about you, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to the address below.
